"Insert Quote Part 1" This day was horrible. I was cold. There was no prey anywhere, and to add insult to injury it had started to rain. However the tabby didn't want to let that ruin her day of training. She was heading away from the other cats. Though they were all nice to her, it always bothered her that she was seen as Silas's sister, not Kim. She would have preferred a bad image, at least it was an image! Instead she was forced to live in the shadow of her brother's efforts. Part of her was content serving her colony from the shadows, but it hurt that no one even knew her name. It was always, "Hey! Aren't you Silas's sister?" Or something similar. For once, Kim wanted to meet a cat that wouldn't judge her.
Soon enough the scout had gone far enough from the other cats that they wouldn't hear her. Instantly she began to practice fighting moves against invisible opponents. Kim leaped around the small clearing. She rolled around and around, and she looked like an absolute fool. To an outsider, she looked like a kit, awkward and stupid. Kim wasn't trying to do her best though. She just wanted to blow off some steam, and it had worked. It was the most fun she had enjoyed in a long time! The tabby was sad to see the sun begin to set, and she knew that soon she would need to return back home.
Only a few more minutes! Kim knew that this was wrong, and she didn't want to worry anyone. Then a thought rose up, THey wouldn't miss me anyways... They would miss Silas's sister. Who cares if I stay out late! I work hard all day, so who cares if I enjoy myself for once in a lifetime! I'm having fun!

Maddox trudged through the snow thought the sun was melting it seemed it could not melt it fast enough. He was tired of winter, winter was hard and made hunting difficult, it made them all hide in their nice warm burrows under the snow. Maddox wished he had a nice burrow to go to but he had nothing no den, no mother, no father and no mate but on the bright side he still had two of his three siblings. They were growing farther and farther apart sadly he rarely got to see Phoenix or Sharkbait. He let out a sign he missed the old days when they used to play and hunt together.
The tom shook his head enough wallowing he thought to himself, he was going find something to eat if it was the last thing on earth. His whiskers began to twitch as he began to walk father into the trees his eyes scanning the snow for any give away of walking food.
After a long unsuccessful hunt and the sun was starting to fade in the sky he was about ready to call it quits and head back into the alleyways when something caught his attention out of the corner of his eye. He padded forward silently and watched with amusement as a cat was playing fighting with what appeared to be invisible enemies something Maddox had done as kitten.
He laughed out loud " Watch out there's one behind you" He continued forward until he was nearly standing in front of the she-cat. She was beautiful but beauty was never something Maddox cared much about.

"Insert Quote Part 1" The brown tabby scout starred at the black and white male. At first she was embarrassed, and her fur had began to get very hot. Then she realized that she had nothing to feel awkward about. This was an intruder! They had entered into Sheeva territory, and Kim had no idea where they were from. Is this cat a Shamsi? Or is he a Roshen!? Maybe I should run... But the proud scout hated that idea. She didn't want to run!
"What are you doing here?" Kim hissed at the outsider, "What colony are you a part of?" It didn't even enter her mind that this cat might be a loner or a lost house cat. She just wanted him gone, and she was ready to do anything to make him leave. Though the more feminine side of her mind couldn't help but notice that this cat was... well maybe not handsome, but he had an attractive charm. "What is your name trespasser?" Her voice was threatening, though there was a clear note of fear behind the angry tone. She wasn't afraid of a loner, house cat, or even a Shamsi, but a Roshen might be dangerous, especially if he had brought any friends with him.

The tom watched Kim with adoring eyes it was cute how frazzled the she-cat was. He sat down weighting his options he could either leave now in case the she-cat had friends nearby as her fur smelt of many jumbled scents or he could stay and take a chance to have some fun for once. It only took him a minute to decide as the she-cat began barking questions at him he could hear the fear in her voice.
"I was trying to hunt for some food but I think your ninja skills scared the entire forest" he chuckled ignoring the growling in his stomach, food was one of the things Maddox had started thinking about quiet often at least this she-cat could take his mind off of it for a bit.
Her next question took him off guard of course he had heard about the colonies in the land but Maddox had never really thought about joining one himself. He smiled "No Colony just me and... my sibling sometimes." he meowed softly watching with a content look in his eyes the she-cat intrigued him and he defiantly wanted to know more about her. "Maddox, my names Maddox. Anything else you would like to know?" He smirked and replied as she pushed for more information.

Kim narrowed her eyes at the tom as she listened to him speak. She scowled at him when he chuckled, but she didn't mean to be rude. For some reason this cat laughing at her bothered her. He was a strange cat, and what kind of cat came into Sheeva territory and laughed at a scout? Sure scouts weren't really known for their strength, but she could still inflict some damage on this cat. Honestly, she had wanted to be a soilder, but she wasn't quite good enough. So she was forced to become a scout. Not that she didn't like being a scout, but it occasionally got boring just running through the woods. She wanted to fight! "Maddox, my names Maddox. Anything else you would like to know?" Kim wanted to hit this cat for his sarcastic attitude, but she restrained herself. The scout knew that she was only being aggressive because this cat had walked in on her at an embarrassing moment. Any normal day she would have just told him the rules and hopefully he would leave immeadiatly. "No, but I am required to inform you that you are in Sheeva territory. We do not welcome strangers and outsiders into our territory without permission from the King or Queen." Her voice was robotic as she spoke, because she was trying so hard to not let her embarrassment show. Kim hated feeling foolish, and this cat just seemed to be rubbing it in. "You must leave at once."The embarrassment and fury had left her voice, but it remained in her eyes and body. Kim's tail continued to flick with wild fury, and her eyes didn't leave Maddox's. A strange thought entered her mind out of the blue, He has green eyes... Dark green eyes...Lennox

Maddox tilted his head to the side a half smile still planted on his face, his eyes couldn't seem to leave the she-cats eye even as she gave him a death glare. There was something about her, he couldn't pinpoint it but there was something and Maddox wasn't ready to leave, not yet.
The tom thought quickly wanting to keep the she-cats attention, anything at all. He suddenly he leap forward and swatted at the she-cats shoulder " What are you afraid of losing against a real opponent?" He backed up and leaned forward ready for her next move as his tail flicked back and forth.
The tom knew he was walking on dangerous territory at any moment the she-cat could have friends come out and ambush him but hey Maddox was willing to take the chance specially to get even one more minute with this gorgeous she-cat. The fire in both her eyes and heart made his own heart skip a beat.

Kim gasped in surprise. Maddox's strike didn't hurt, but she was mad at him. But it wasn't a normal kind of anger. It was confusing and frustrating. "Hey! I am not afraid! You little-" But she cut her words short. No, no, no! You are better than him, and you aren't going to sink to his level. Her eyes burned with fury, and she wanted to fight back. No, It's not the right thing to do. You need to go and find a solider or a guard to help. But her reasonable side was drowned out by a different, young, and impulsive side of her brain, This cat can't be that tough. I'll just show him who's boss, and then he will leave. An odd pang of sadness hit Kim when she thought of this, but she shook it off. The lovely brown tabby stood tall and proud. Slowly and silently, Kim turned away from. She took a few paw steps away from Maddox, and then she turned and leaped at the tom trying to catch him off guard. She tried to hit his neck with her paw. She didn't have her claws out, and she only hit him hard enough so he would feel it. A strangely giddy feeling took over Kim, and she was taken a back. It felt... nice to be fighting with this tom, but she didn't want to hurt him. She just wanted to... play fight. Yes, she just wanted to goof around with this tom, no, with Maddox. It was a strange feeling, and Kim couldn't understand it. She wasn't the kind of cat to goof around, well, not with other cats. She had always tried to be proper around other cats. She hated it! But she owed it to Silas. Cats might judge Silas on Kim's actions, so she always had to work her hardest and act her best. It was a horrible life, but you didn't get to pick your destiny. Things just... happened. Kim looked up to meet her eyes with Maddox's, and it felt like she had jumped out of the top of a tall tree. Her mouth was slightly open as a thought passed through her head, What? What is this, and why is it here? The Sheeva scout realized that she might look a little odd, so she close her mouth and tried to force her face into a scowl. It wasn't easy, Lennox

Maddox felt happy, a different kind of happy one he had not felt before not with any other cats. He was excited his plan had worked he had distracted the female so she wasn't trying to get rid of him. He wanted to jump for joy but instead he waited for her next move.
He was ready as he watched the she-cat turn away from him but he kept his eyes on her watching every move her beautiful body made. The moment she ran back at him he was ready he grabbed her leg the one aiming for his neck and turned her over pinning to her to the ground on her back. The tom towered over her but the last thing he wanted to do was hurt her. He stared into her green eyes longer then he had meant to caught up in her beauty. He smiled " I don't think I have ever meant anyone like you" The tom murmured before leaning down and licking the she-cats cheek.
The tom jumped off, backing away. He was extremely confused at his own actions and hoped he didn't scare the she-cat off for good. He turned looking back at the she-cat shyly and taking a deep breath preparing to either get told to leave and never come back or to get the fudge beat out of him.

Kim felt Maddox grab onto her leg and pin her to the ground. When she felt he grab her leg her first instinct was to run, but she couldn't. She was frozen in fear and something else. Her heart pounded against her chest, and for a second she feared that Maddox might hurt or kill her. But no... There was no murderous glint in his eyes. There was something else, something that thrilled and scared Kim. His words bore into her mind, "I don't think I have ever meant anyone like you." Kim didn't move a single muscle as Maddox bent down to lick her cheek. She knew that she should throw Maddox off her. But she couldn't, because she didn't want to. She didn't want Maddox to leave. Kim felt hurt when Maddox backed away from her, but she knew that was stupid. He is a filthy loner you idiot! Her thoughts were harsh but true. I can't be... falling for... a loner, and anyways, I'm not falling for him! Kim scrambled to her feet and turned to face Maddox. She couldn't organize her thoughts or words. The poor tabby started to stutter as she tried to think of what to say. For once she didn't look into Maddox's eyes, and she was trying to send her focus anywhere else, while still making sure he didn't do anything. Every time her eyes returned to Maddox's face her heart skipped a beat, and she hated it! Well that was a lie, she loved how it felt, but she knew that it was wrong to feel this way about a loner. "W- W- Why did y- you do that?" The scout finally managed to force out a stuttering sentence but she still refused to make eye contact. Her voice was scared and panicked, even thought she wanted it to sound fierce and threatening. Her body was also betraying her. She couldn't help but act and look like a cat that had been cornered in an alleyway. She felt cornered. She wanted Maddox to leave so she wouldn't have to worry about her feelings, but she also knew her heart would be broken if he left. Lennox

It felt like an eternity has Maddox waited for her to say something! Anything at all. It pained him to know he might have hurt her not physically but mentally. He continued to stare at her for a moment longer but she was refusing to look his way or in his eyes. It didn't matter if the tom didn't even know the she-cat's name, he knew he felt something in the jumbled mess in his brain and it felt right to the young cat. He had to do anything and everything in his power to have the she-cat see this.
His eyes search the ground shifting back and forth has if he was looking for the answers in the newly spring grass. His ears perked when he finally heard her stuttering out an attempt at words. He took a deep breath trying his best to sort out the right words of what he would say next and if what he meowed would make or break having this she-cat see that it didn't matter if they had just met or known each other for years. He had already fallen in love with this complete stranger and it scared the living daylight out of him but it also excited him in a new way he had never felt before.
He looked up at the she-cat once again and stepped towards her his muscles stiff underneath his smooth short pelt. "Because.." he paused once again his breath taken by her beauty "It felt right. I can't explain! I don't even know your name but I already know I am feeling something? Aren't you anything at all?" The tom was being forward and it scared him. He was only standing paw steps away close enough he could reach out and touch Kim but he didn't, he just stood there awkwardly. The mouse was now in Kim's hunting grounds she could send him away now by telling him she felt nothing and breaking his heart or she could tell him she felt the same.

In the corner of her eye, Kim saw Maddox approach her, and she looked up. She could see his muscles moving beneath his handsome black and white pelt, and she finally moved her eyes onto his. Maddox's word sunk into Kim's brain, and she was shocked, "I don't even know your name but I already know I am feeling something? Aren't you anything at all?" She wanted to yell "no", but that was a lie. Her brain worked fast as she tried to think of something to say that wouldn't show her true feelings, but would make it so he might stay. "It doesn't matter!" The brown tabby blurted the words out before she could stop herself. Kim closed her eyes and breathed slowly before continuing on, "Okay... I did feel something. I don't know what it was, but yes... I did feel something." Her voice was empty and slow, and the sadness behind it was obvious, "But it doesn't matter Maddox. I'm a Sheeva scout, and you are a loner."
Slowly and quietly, Kim turned away from Maddox. "You should go now, soon enough another scout, solider, or hunter is going to show up, and they will have your pelt. I don't want to see you here again." Her voice betrayed her by cracking slightly when she spoke. It was from anger and sadness. She was sad because this was the worst lie she had ever told to another living creature, and she hated that she had said it. But she was also angry about being a Sheeva now. Part of her wanted to turn back around and at least talk with Maddox, but if she did that she would be betray her colony and her brother.
The "proud" Sheeva scout started to walk away from Maddox. Her pace was slow and steady, and she tried to bring back some of her usual pride. It was impossible. She felt horrible. She had betrayed her colony, and she was walking away from one of the only cats that seemed to honestly like her. When she was only a few tail lengths away, Kim looked over her shoulder back at Maddox, "And so you know, my name is Kim."

Maddox stood in the clearing alone. It felt like heavy rain clouds were hanging over his head and ears went flat on either side of his head. His eyes were pained. He had never felt this way with anyone before and the rejection stunk. His heart was beating for fast he could hear it.
"kim..." he let her name roll off his tongue saying it a couple times in his head, it was truly a beautiful name like she was. Every ounce of his being told him to run after her and bag if he had to. All her wanted was for the she-cat to want him back. He personally just couldn't understand why it mattered if she was a colony member and he a loner. He had never thought about joining colony-never wanting to. However his mind was spinning could he join a colony to be with her?
He began to turn away back towards the alleyways to live him bland life back to find his sister and brother suddenly his legs stopped and he refusing to move. He couldn't. He wasn't willing to give up his chance of happiness.
The tom turned back running after the she-cat he stopped in front of her his heart beating fast once again "Kim, come with me!" He meowed. He reached out and touched his nose to hers "Look I know nothing about Colony life but I do know that I can take care of you. I've been a loner since the day I was born, I know where to find food. The life we could have could be amazing. Just think nobody telling you what to do anymore. Just you and me."

Kim kept a stone face as she walked away from Maddox. She was trying her hardest to go back to her normal self. She needed to reach the cold and dark side of her heart and brain, and become the calm and collected sister of Silas. She needed to be fine, no, she had to be fine. Her fur bristled with surprise when Maddox stepped in front of her. She honestly thought he would given up by now. She was worth all this fuss, was she? His words made Kim want to smile and cry at the same time. When he said, "Just think nobody telling you what to do anymore. Just you and me." That sounded amazing to her, but part of her was still connected to the Sheeva colony and her brother. Anyways, A sad thought filled her mind, He would probably lose interest in me as soon as I agree to go with him, no i'm not giving in. "Maddox!" The confused tabby hissed under her breath, "I can't just run off with some cat I met in the forest, especially when he is a loner. Do you know what my family would say?" Honestly, Kim had no idea how Silas would react. Maybe he would be happy for her, or he might rip Maddox apart limb from limb. There was no telling with Silas. Yet an overwhelming part of Kim's heart wanted to see this tom again. It was impulsive and idiotic, but she went ahead and said it, "Maddox..." Her voice was slow as she tried to stop herself from saying what she was about to say, "Maddox... Can we meet again? Like outside of Sheeva territory?" Part of her wanted to add, Yeah I know I just turned you down, but hey, I'm crazy like that. I have war raging inside me between my heart and my brain, and I have no idea which one I want to win! You are starting to cause me a lot of mental anguish, and apparently I want to make that worse! So I might be insane, but do you want to meet with me later? Kim was smart enough to keep her insane mind inside, instead she added, "I've heard that there is a river near the neighborhood called Sherwood River. Maybe... y-know... we could meet there in a day or two?" It was awkward question, and Kim didn't know what kind of answer she wanted. If he said "no" that would save her a lot of time, but if he said yes... Don't even think about what to do if he says yes. You don't want to think about that! Lennox

Maddox couldn't help feeling a mixture of angry, rejection and disheartened all at the same time but he kept silent biting his tongue. why did the she-cat have to care so much what her family? Maybe for Maddox it was different on the alleyways it seemed it was every cat for them self, but it would be different with him and Kim he would protect her with his life. He had felt alone for so so many cold nights he had slept under cars and boxes just to keep warm. The tom wanted more he wanted a family, for someone to talk to and place to call home where he could watch his kits grow up at. His brain just couldn't work around the fact she wouldn't trust him enough to want to leave now with him.
The tom's tail swished back and forth giving away the annoyance he was slightly feeling but his voice was a different story. He wanted to nod and scream yes of course I want to see you again! Every moment he spent with the white tabby made him feel alive and happy. " Why bother Kim? Don't feel you have to see me again so you won't hurt my feeling. Because you won't." The tom was having a hard time reading the she-cat one point she couldn't bare to leave her family and the next moment she wanted to see him again. She-cats he thought can't live with them and can't live without them.
