Personality: Conrad is a feisty cat, with a personality fit for a lion. He's quick to fight with a short temper. He's very territorial and defensive. When it comes to his small stature, he's extremely sensitive, and had gotten into countless fights to defend his height. He hates being called cute or a kitten. He's desperate to be treated as a normal cat. Despite seeming like a jerk, Conrad truly does care, he just won't show it. He tends to stick up for other cats in similar situations, although he'd never say that. He's a cat of honor, and if shown kindness he's more than glad to return it.
History: Conrad was born the only male, and quickly became proud of that. Even as a kit he tried to be the best at everything and tried to lead every game. He acted like he was king of the world, and with his family, he felt like it. When he was old enough to be taken from his mother, he was put on a plane and sent away.
When he arrived at his new home, it seemed great, perfect even. There was a young girl who loved him, and that he would always look like a kitten. For a few seconds, it was perfect. Then he discovered he was a replacement, and that there was a very large and jealous male cat who also lived with him and his girl.
At first, Conrad was completely stunned that such a large cat existed, and tried to great him. However, the other cat was mad that he was replaced, and attacked Conrad, giving him the scar he has across his nose. Conrad and the other cat were taken to the vet, where Conrad was confronted with a large number of other, very large cats who bullied him throughout the night about his size. While there, the male who attacked him was put down for injuring Conrad.
This scared Conrad, and when he went home he was changed. He felt tiny and insignificant. The girl who had adopted him no longer wanted him, insisting it was Conrad's fault her last cat was gone. Her parents didn't have the heart to adopt Conrad out, they wanted to breed him instead. As he grew older, the girl remained cold and his sole purpose became to breed with females to produce more munchkin kits. He competed in shows, and did well, but hated it. At home, the parents didn't care about him, and the girl hated him.
Once she pushed in down a flight of stairs, and abused him secretly, hating him for the death of her last cat still. Conrad grew spiteful, but was too scared to do anything. He knew if he clawed her or anyone else, he'd be killed. Rather than fight back, he just went limp and felt helpless. One night, he saw a stray cat outside his window, and a plan formed. He would become a stray.
That night he made a decision, to stand up for himself. He would never tolerate anyone making fun of him or abusing him again. He had suffered silently for a full year, hoping it would get better. But he no longer could be silent. When morning came he managed to escape, and ran away, never looking back. He found another stay cat, who took pity on Conrad and taught him a few things about survival.
Armed with this new knowledge, Conrad set out, determined never to be weak or helpless again.
