King: The King is the heart of the Colony. Their personality will affect how the Colony operates. It's up to the King along with his Queen to keep the Colony running smoothly. All others in the Colony must obey the king even the Queen at times. Some Colonies the King and Queen work together in others the King is law alone.
Appointment: The King can only become King if his father before him dies or is willing retire and must be the bloodline or mate of the princess.
Demotion: Kings usually serve until the end of their lives, but there are some exceptions
Retirement: A King can resign if he wishes to do so.
Banishment: A Colony can demote a king if they see him unfit to rule an example being age or sickness. Then his heir may take over.
A new line:Rarely done but can happen when a strong tom kills the ruling leader at that time. He then must banish or kill all remaining children of the former ruler.
Day-to-Day Life: A king can usually be found patrolling his territory or watching from some high place. He is unusually within earshot in case of trouble.
Tasks: A king has various tasks and privileges:
*Oversee the daily operations of the Colony and gives them orders *Speaks to other Colonies *Leads the Colony into battles *Solves conflicts between members of the Colony *Decide if someone can join the Colony *Exile Colony members who present a danger to the Colony *Meets Once a day with Head Scouts *talks to Colony members and makes decisions *Helps train kits
If the King cannot carry out his tasks (for instance, because of illness or injury), the Queen or Protector will substitute for them.

He should be close to the king or at least be able to get along with him. He takes over in case of the kings absence and may or may not have good intent. He is there to enforce and keep the colony in order-not replace the king. The Queen however can over rule the Royal Guard at any time.

Queen: The Queen is the only one a King should tell about important Colony things and confide in when he has troubles. She should be the first to obey her King. The Queen is very important to the Colony she provides the king with royal children and helps in keeping the Colony in order.
Appointment: The Queen may become a Queen by two ways she was born into the royal family or chosen to be the mate of the current King.
Demotion: Queens usually serve until the end of their lives, but there are some exceptions
Retirement: A Queen can resign if she wishes to do so or her king chooses too.
Banishment: The king is the only one who can banish a Queen unless she was the born into the royal family then only the Colony may decide.
If the Queen is banished and she had the royal bloodlines the King must step down as well. Therefore the Queen's sibling or heir must step up.
Day-to-Day Life: A Queen can be found making sure everything in the colony is running smoothly or caring for her young. Unlike the King she can come and go from the Colony without much worry.
Tasks: A Queen has various tasks and privileges:
*Listens to the King *Oversees Hunting Parties and makes sure the Head Hunters are doing their jobs correctly *Oversees Scout Parties and makes sure the Head Scouts are doing their jobs correctly *Goes Hunting *Takes charge if the King is not available *Caring and producing young *Solves conflicts in the Colony

However not everyone is always wanting to protect royal heirs. The Prince or Princess will be chosen based on how well they have learned their duties and who has the best leader traits meaning they are understanding, level headed and selfless.
